Although Dr. Rosen has been working in the field of dentistry for more than 40 years now, he continues to love it more and more each day! Back in 1981, he graduated from Tufts University School of Dentistry. Ever since, he’s pursued continuing education and advanced training to ensure that those in his treatment chair receive the absolute best care. Today, he is an active member of professional organizations like the American Dental Association, the Wisconsin Dental Association, and the Greater Milwaukee Dental Association.
As for life outside the office, Dr. Rosen loves spending as much time as he can with his family. He also has lots of hobbies, including playing board games, gardening, and attending sporting events. To stay active, he swims for at least an hour every day too!
Growing up, Dr. Zak watched his father (our very own Dr. Richard Rosen) care for his friends and neighbors through dentistry. So, when it came time to choose his career, he knew he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps! This led him to pursue his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Medicine. Although he graduated in 2013, much of his life still revolves around academics. In fact, he is an adjunct professor at Marquette Dental School, an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, and a student of the Engel Institute, which is where he underwent additional training on Invisalign and implantology.
When Dr. Zak isn’t at our practice, you’ll find him traveling, working out, and, of course, going to every big Wisconsin sporting event he can.
From a young age, Dr. Roche knew that he wanted his career to involve helping others, but he wasn’t exactly sure what that looked like. Once he realized that he could help others in a personal, detail-oriented, and long-lasting way as a dentist, he knew he had found his calling!
Before becoming a dentist near Elm Grove, Dr. Roche attended the University of Saint Thomas for his undergraduate degree. Then, he was accepted to and graduated from Marquette University, which is where he earned his dental doctorate. Today, he has served underprivileged families through Mission of Mercy, gone on a mission trip to Central America, and undergone countless hours of continuing education with the American Dental Association and other professional organizations.
Dr. Roche and his wife love spending time together outside the office, whether it’s traveling abroad or going on hiking adventures around Milwaukee. He also enjoys playing golf, running, and doing Karate – he even has a blackbelt!

When it comes to treating a dental emergency, time is something you must consider. Calling to inquire about getting in for an appointment is the most important step. Most dental offices accept same-day appointments for emergency patients. This ensures that you can get the treatment you need right away. When faced with such a situation, expect to undergo various imaging and examinations so that your dentist can determine the severity of the issue and recommend the appropriate method of treatment.
What is it that you’re looking for in a dentist? Do you want someone who will offer comprehensive services? Do you prefer a specialist? Is it important that you find someone who will see both you and your family? Are you adamant about seeing a professional who is in-network with your dental insurance company? These are all questions you must ask yourself when narrowing down your search for the ideal dentist. Once you decide which criteria are most important, you can determine how best to move forward with a dental practice you can trust.
At Wauwatosa Dental Arts, we are pleased to be a dental practice that offers patients more than the basics but instead treats individuals of all ages using comprehensive care.
You can expect the average price for tooth extraction to cost anywhere between $150 and $400. This is dependent on where the dental practice is located within the United States as well as the experience of the dentist near Elm Grove. You can also expect that the dentist will see if any additional procedures need to be performed before removing one or more teeth, and if it is a wisdom tooth or regular tooth extraction.
Other components that can determine how much you will pay for tooth removal include the use of sedation, whether you choose to use dental insurance, or if you opt to pursue flexible financing. Many dental insurance companies offer coverage for this type of procedure, so it is best to use your plan’s available benefits if you are enrolled.
If you’re not planning to file on your dental insurance, an average dental checkup and teeth cleaning visit can cost between $200-$300 in the United States. Because of the extensive process that is required to examine your mouth, take digital images, and thoroughly clear away any accumulated plaque and tartar, it’s necessary that dental offices charge what they do.
However, if you have dental insurance, these visits often do not come at a cost. Instead, most companies offer 80-100% coverage for checkups and cleanings because they’re preventive. This means that you’re less likely to develop more serious oral health problems in the future as a result of keeping these six-month visits.
