Dr. Rosen has been practicing oral healthcare for over four decades! He earned his dental doctorate from Tufts University School of Dentistry in 1981 and opened his dental office shortly after. He stays up to date with the latest techniques and technologies in the field by regularly pursuing continuing education. He is also a proud member of several dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association, and Greater Milwaukee Dental Association.
When Dr. Rosen isn’t helping patients, he enjoys his free time with his three children and two grandchildren. He likes to stay busy with traveling, gardening, and attending sports events. A fun fact about Dr. Rosen is that he always does his best to swim for at least an hour every single day!
Dr. Zak got started in the dental field early. He always enjoyed watching his father, Dr. Richard Rosen, work as a dentist and became passionate about the discipline himself. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Tufts University School of Dentistry in 2013. Dr. Zak enjoys researching new techniques and procedures, so he underwent training in Invisalign and implantology. Currently, he is a proud member of the American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association, and Greater Milwaukee Dental Association.
When Dr. Zak isn’t in the dental office serving patients, you can find him traveling, exercising, and attending Wisconsin sporting events. He is a fan of the Bucks and the Packers!
Dr. Roche always knew that he wanted to help others in his profession. This is what led him to dentistry. He enjoys frequently meeting new people and being able to work with his hands. Dr. Roche completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Saint Thomas in St. Paul before earning his dental doctorate at Marquette University. He maintains memberships in multiple professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association, and Greater Milwaukee Dental Association.
Outside of the dental office, Dr. Roche likes to spend his time traveling and hiking with his wife, Krista. He also enjoys playing golf and basketball as well as running. Some fun facts about Dr. Roche are that he has a blackbelt in Karate and can juggle!
Excellent! The staff is very friendly and welcoming when you arrive. After a very detailed exam and some films, Dr. Richard Rosen took a lot of time with me, explaining what procedure was needed and why. He was very patient with further questions and also did some teaching with me about oral care and use of a water pick. I did not feel rushed at all. I had been going to the same dentist for many years but he is retiring, so my search and a recommendation from another source led me to Dr. Rosen and his team. I am very very pleased to have found him, and am sure I will get good care.

The road to becoming a dentist requires several years of in-classroom and hands-on training as well as a life-long commitment to continuing education. That starts with a bachelor’s degree (typically in a major that’s heavy in math and science). Following graduation, they need to complete three years of training at one of 67 accredited dental schools in the U.S. Although their studies span over seven years at this point, they need to pursue continuing education hours annually in order to maintain their license.
If you find yourself in the middle of a dental emergency, you need help – fast. First, assess your symptoms. Are you having trouble breathing? Is your jaw fractured? Are you having difficulty swallowing? If you answered “yes,” then you need to seek medical attention at the ER. If you don’t have any potentially life-threatening symptoms, then you should call our emergency dentist near Brookfield ASAP. The sooner you do, the sooner we can learn more about what happened and schedule a time for you to come in for the necessary care.
There’s a common misconception that dentistry is really expensive. In reality, it’s neglecting dentistry that’s costly. Take your biannual checkups and cleanings for example. If you skip them, you may save money in the short-term, but then small cavities and other oral health problems are left alone to progress to the point where you have to visit us for same-day emergency care. So, for the sake of your oral health and your wallet, don’t try to avoid essential dental treatments to save money.
With all of that said, our team at Wauwatosa Dental Arts does offer several financial solutions to help make the cost of any dental care you need more affordable. With dental insurance, flexible financing, and periodic special offers, we will do our best to keep your out-of-pocket expenses to a minimum.
Typically, same-day appointments are reserved for emergency patients. Of course, that doesn’t mean that you can’t get in touch with your dental team to see if they have any last-minute availability! If you reside in Brookfield and want to come into our office right away, then we recommend calling us so we can learn more about your situation and determine if we have any availability. If you can’t get on the phone, then you can also send us an email (which is on the “contact” page of our website).
